Mission

The Poolesville High School PTSA provides enrichment resources and opportunities to students and staff in our school community.  In addition, we advocate at the local, county, and state levels to ensure all students have the opportunity to reach their potential through equitable academic, social-emotional, and extracurricular programming.

 

Annual Focus

This year, we will focus our efforts on providing opportunities that support the academic and extracurricular enrichment, community engagement, and social-emotional well being of PHS students.

Membership funds and donations enable the PTSA to support many enriching opportunities for students, families, and staff such as:

 

• Artist in Residence programs

• Mini Grant Program for students and staff

• Snacks for Feel Good Fridays

• Community engagement

• Post Prom event to give students a safe place to have fun

• Senior Breakfast

• Special speakers on topics such as college admissions and funding, essay writing, resources for student enrichment, etc.

• Staff appreciation events

Membership Opportunities

Memberships are valid for one school year and our annual membership drive is our primary fundraiser. We have several membership options.

Individual - $25

Household (includes membership for 3 people) - $50

Student or Staff - $10

How we Use the Money we Raise

Each year our elected Board creates a budget that lists our objectives for the year and the associated expenses. Our general membership then votes to approve our budget each September (or October).  The funds we raise through our membership campaign directly fund programs and enrichment opportunities such as the ones listed above.  Monthly Treasurer Reports are presented at our meetings and are published on our website.
