
WELCOME TO THE POOLESVILLE PTSA

The Poolesville High School PTSA is a non-profit organization that supports and enriches the students and staff in our school community through various programs and advocacy. General Membership meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM during the school year and include valuable information to help our students reach their full potential and to communicate important information with PHS families.
Though we encourage all PHS families, students, and staff to become PTSA members, you do not have to be a member to attend meetings or to benefit from the majority of our initiatives. Parents & students are encouraged to attend. Students can receive SSL hours for attending PTSA meetings. All meetings will be recorded. Recordings and meeting minutes are available on both the "Meetings & Events" and the "Resources" pages of this website.

Our next PTSA General Meeting will take place virtually on Tuesday, October 14th at 7 pm.

In this meeting we will discuss the current MCPS boundary study and program assessments as well as the new MCPS phone policy, attendance policy and a "Who's who" at PHS so parents and student know who they need to reach out to in different situations. The meeting is open to everyone and students who attend can receive SSL hours!

Staff Appreciation
Each month the PTSA funds a staff appreciation event to show PHS teachers and staff how much they mean to our school community! Each month there is a different theme and a way for PHS families to contribute food and fun to this event!We are looking for a PTSA member to coordinate Staff Appreciation! Our next event will be Monday 9/22.
Volunteer
If you do want to squeeze in a little volunteer time, fill out this interest form. By filling out the interest form, you're simply telling us what types of volunteering you might be interested in. We'll use that information to contact you when opportunities arise. From there, you can decide whether it fits into your schedule.
Mini Grant Program
The Poolesville High School PTSA Mini Grant Program (MGP) is designed to provide financial support for innovative and impactful projects that enhance the educational experience, promote student engagement, and foster community involvement within our school. This MGP aims to empower students, teachers, and staff to implement creative initiatives that benefit the school community.
Post Prom
Our 2025 Post Prom is happening directly after prom on May 15th! We'll have food, fun, games and prizes throughout the night!​

To make this event a success we need to raise funds! With our 2026 campaign we ask that each PHS family contribute just $26 toward the event!
